Job description

Job Title: Sales Engineer.

Location: Oil and Gas Industry in Saudi Arabia

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in the oil and drilling equipment manufacturing sector. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales, providing technical support, and building long-term relationships with clients in the upstream oil & gas industry. You will act as a key liaison between our engineering/manufacturing teams and customers, ensuring that our products meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the oil and gas drilling sector.
  2. Provide technical consultation and product presentations to clients (e.g., drilling contractors, operators, EPCs).
  3. Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions (e.g., downhole tools, valves, drill bits, rigs).
  4. Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  5. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to customize products for specific client needs.
  6. Conduct technical training, demos, and support for customer teams.
  7. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to drive product development and marketing strategy.
  8. Attend industry exhibitions, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company.
  9. Maintain CRM records, manage sales pipeline, and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
  2. 5+ years of technical sales experience in the oil & gas or drilling equipment manufacturing industry.
  3. Solid understanding of upstream oilfield operations and drilling processes.
  4. Experience with tools and components like BOPs, casing/tubing, downhole tools, or mud systems is a strong plus.

Skills:

  1. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  2. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Willingness to travel to client sites, trade shows, and offshore/onshore rigs as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience in a drilling services company or oilfield equipment OEM.
  2. Familiarity with industry standards (API, ISO, ASME).
  3. Multilingual capabilities (especially Arabic, French, or Spanish) are a plus for international markets.
