About This Role

As the Sales Director, EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our SaaS platform – Circles. This is not a typical sales role; it's an opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking team that is reimagining the telco industry. You will be instrumental in shaping our commercial approach and ensuring operational excellence across the EMEA region.

Sales Coverage : EMEA; specific accounts and / or territory would be assigned based on priority.

Desired Outcomes
  • Lead large and strategic telco accounts and be responsible to deliver on the sales KPIs e.g., new funnel creation, timely opportunity progression and closure of accounts.
  • Steer sales strategic direction and plan, collaboratively developing and executing this with the cross-functional teams, with an eye on growth and increasing market share. This includes contributing to the overall EMEA commercial strategy, identifying market trends, and proposing strategic initiatives to drive market penetration and expansion.
  • Build and enhance C-suite relationships with both existing and new clients / accounts – new account development will be critical to the success of this role and Circles X’s growth plans.
  • Establish a structured sales methodology and process, including opportunity validation, pursuit & closure, and a strong sales operating cadence. This will also encompass optimizing sales tools and providing greater visibility and actionable data for targeted sales efforts, contributing to overall sales operations efficiency.
  • Become a thought leader in the Telco vertical SaaS space by establishing credibility and bringing an informed POV on best practices and trends. This includes contributing to market intelligence and strategic insights for the EMEA region.
  • Contribute to foundational business case development and strategic planning efforts, providing commercial insights and supporting the GM in key decision-making for EMEA expansion.
  • Collaborate with the GM and other regional leads to ensure seamless coordination across sales, marketing, and pre-sales functions, driving integrated go-to-market strategies.
What We Are Looking For
  • 15+ years of EMEA sales experience in telco SaaS software business, with extensive exposure to telecom operators across multiple markets, in particular Middle East and Africa
  • Has strong existing network with C-suite executives in client organizations and track record in building C-suite relationships.
  • Solution / consultative selling in the domain of BSS to Telco clients.
  • Analytical mindset, strong problem solving, should be able to challenge the status quo with a quantitative point of view.
  • Strong believer and doer of value based selling methodology, be comfortable working on business cases and explaining the same at C level to Telco clients.
  • Track record of closing large and complex B2B deals (i.e. long sales cycle, multiple decision makers with large deal value) with a value of USD 7-10 mio ARR.
  • Delivered 2x growth in the initial few years of growth phase.
  • Has delivered on growth through channel partnerships / strategic alliances / advisors.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn in a rapidly changing environment
