Job Description

What do we expect from you?

Mondrian Abu Dhabi is set to redefine luxury, and we are seeking an exceptional and forward-thinking Director of Sales to join us during the pre-opening phase. In this key role, you will spearhead the development of the hotel's sales strategy, collaborating closely with the leadership team to establish Mondrian Abu Dhabi as the premier destination. Your expertise in crafting innovative sales strategies, cultivating strategic relationships, and driving revenue will be instrumental in ensuring the hotel's success and establishing it as a standout luxury destination.

How your day looks like:
  1. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth across all departments, including rooms, F&B, wellness, and events.
  2. Oversee the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  3. Collaborate with the Revenue, Marketing, and PR teams to ensure integrated strategies and seamless execution across all touchpoints.
  4. Build and maintain key client relationships, including travel agents, corporate clients, and event planners, to drive direct sales and business development.
  5. Conduct regular performance evaluations of sales activities and KPIs, reporting results to key stakeholders and senior management.
  6. Lead the creation of tailored sales presentations and collateral to communicate the unique value proposition of Mondrian Abu Dhabi.
  7. Develop promotional packages and offers that align with market demand and help drive peak performance during high-demand periods.
  8. Collaborate with Marketing & PR to generate awareness through sales-driven marketing campaigns, press releases, and events.
  9. Establish sales targets, incentives, and programs to motivate and inspire the team to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  10. Oversee the development and execution of strategic partnerships with local businesses, tourism agencies, and international partners.
  11. This role requires strong sales leadership, an in-depth understanding of luxury hospitality trends, and a results-driven approach to creating and capturing opportunities for revenue growth.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales management, with at least 3 years in a Director-level role, ideally in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment.
  2. Experience working in a truly global work environment is essential.
  3. Prior pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
  4. Strong track record in driving revenue growth across multiple departments, with experience in both leisure and corporate sales.
  5. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  6. Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies that increase revenue.
  7. Expertise in luxury hospitality sales and understanding of the competitive landscape.
  8. Strong financial acumen and experience managing sales budgets and performance.
  9. Knowledge of global distribution systems (GDS), booking engines, and sales CRM tools.
  10. Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
  11. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a passion for exceeding sales targets.
