Overview of Role

To identify, develop and support new and already existing accounts and coordinate marketing activities (digital and non-digital).

Purpose of role

  • To prepare, maintain, communicate, and coordinate diverse commercial administration in support of all sales activities. Materials will include price lists, quotations, product specifications, datasheets,
  • Technical Service Enquiries, sales master data, and other documentation as required by Croda systems, companies, agents and customers.
  • Own the customer relationship for designated customers/territories including price setting within defined limits. Prepare commercial quotations in response to new customer enquiries. Informing customers of pricing and other contractual conditions within agreed guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed procedures and take the decision when to escalate issues for approval/advice. To plan and prioritise daily workload within guidelines.
  • Influence a broad range of internal contacts to ensure timely provision of information to meet customer needs. Significant variety in day to day routines.
  • Regular direct contacts with customers requiring appropriate commercial sensitivity and communication style.
  • Investigate and work with others to resolve problems which can be diverse in nature that are related to any aspect of the customer relationship.
  • Broad knowledge of systems & processes (e.g. ERP, CRM). Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in administrative systems
  • The role requires working in a busy office environment and is key to the effective operation of many inter-regional, departmental, customer and company relationships.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Ability to undertake non complex negotiations
  • Ability to work within defined company procedures
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, SAP and C2G (or ability to rapidlt gain skills)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal colleagues, both verbally and in writing
  • Use of new technologies in B2B sales (social media, mailchimp, webinars…)

Essentials

Fluence in English and Arabic is a plus

Degree in chemistry or similar

Desirables

At least one/two years of sales or similar experience is preferred
