Job description

Responsible for planning development and implementation of hospitality business development/F&B sales strategies including selling events internal & external catering and looking for activation opportunities.

Responsible for generating revenue through sales & marketing initiatives. Responsible for growing existing contacts and attract guests to hold their internal & external events within the hospitality Partners to enhance the brand's performance in the marketplace. This role is intended to further improve the Food and Beverage revenue and to enhance the brand's positioning and reputation in the greater public.

Primary Responsibilities
Sales & Events
  • Responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive sales events and catering program that will enhance the hospitality brand's position within the F&B industry locally and internationally.
  • Handling sales and group event activities and client relations in collaboration with the various restaurant reservation teams and catering division.
  • Ensure articulation of all the brand's desired image and position both to internal and external entities.
  • Lead F&B sales projects and special events.
  • Responsible for procuring private and corporate events group reservations for the restaurants and capturing future bookings.
  • Adopt unique sales and marketing strategies to promote the restaurant and develop strategies to target external catering events.
  • Positive attitude and belief in providing all guests with an impeccable customer service experience. Must be present to meet and greet the clients on the day of their event.
  • Knowledge of social media (i.e., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) for sales purposes.
  • Understand and perform all standards, policies, and procedures relating to the various restaurant reservations, events, and general guest services.
  • Manage the diaries of the various businesses in regard to external events.
  • Work in conjunction with the marketing and communication manager and Public Relations Agency to successfully promote all necessary events catering while ensuring the hospitality brand's desired image.
  • Liaise/communicate with potential clients to show them how hospitality brands can meet their needs. This will involve telling them on the telephone, showing them around the various restaurants, and meeting with them to confirm all the details of their event.
  • Eager to spot opportunities, upsell to offer additional products or services, and go the extra mile to make the clients' conferences or events a true success.
  • Participate in restaurant promotional activities.
  • Liaise with the various brand's chefs on suggested menus and develop menus for the various opportunities.
  • Liaise with Operations, Finance, and purchasing department for group event food & beverage requirements, special materials, and budget costs.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and attention to detail to ensure nothing is missed. This will be essential to your success in this role.
  • Manage & market special events Sales and Marketing e.g., Christmas, NYE, Eid, Birthdays, Parties & other relevant events.
  • Manage and disseminate event calendar to employees and guests.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales/Marketing.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in F&B sales and events & catering with a minimum of 2 years in the UAE.
  • Relevant experience in the hospitality sector service industry will be given preference.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the strategy and execution of sales and events.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and sales skills.
  • Computer literacy in related software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Language Skills
  • English proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Arabic preferred.
