Job Description
Sales & Business Development Manager
Family Entertainment Center (FEC) – Pre-Opening & Launch
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales & Business Development Manager to lead revenue generation for a new Family Entertainment & Adventure Center in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. This role is critical to the success of both the pre-openingand launch phases, with a focus on securing group bookings, school partnerships, birthday parties, corporate events and families.
The position involves B2B customer engagement, managing the full sales cycle—from planning and outreach to booking coordination and seamless handover to the operations team. The Sales Manager will work closely with Operations, Marketing, and F&B teams to align on event execution and customer experience.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-driven, and collaborative, with a strong ability to generate leads, close deals, and foster long-term client relationships. This role is open to candidates of all backgrounds with fluency in English & Arabic.
Key responsibilities include:
· Develop and secure pre-launch group bookings, partnerships, and advance sales opportunities.
· Manage all inbound sales inquiries and client accounts, with a primary focus on schools, corporates, and community organizations.
· Establish and nurture new client relationships to drive visitor numbers and maximize revenue streams.
· Organize and coordinate meetings, sales calls, and booking handovers to the operations team.
· Ensure timely, structured communication and follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.
· Support strategic planning initiatives, driving new business development and partnership opportunities across Abu Dhabi.
· Actively contribute as a core team member on strategic projects, collaborating with various teams and lines of business (LOBs) to develop and execute key initiatives.
· Prepare detailed business plans, including financial models and proposals, to evaluate new deals and business opportunities.
· Provide strategic advice, analytical insights, and support for all LOBs, including Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and theatrical segments within the local market.
· Assist in leading the Two-Year Plan strategic planning process in collaboration with the Strategy and Finance teams.
· Conduct in-depth market and consumer research, analyzing trends to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
· Translate complex quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable business insights
Strong Organizational and Multitasking Skills
· Manage the sales pipeline by systematically tracking leads, follow-ups, bookings, and contracts (using CRM tools where applicable).
· Coordinate and schedule multiple group bookings (schools, birthdays, events) ensuring seamless execution without overlaps or errors.
· Lead pre-opening planning efforts by organizing targeted sales campaigns and securing key partnerships ahead of launch.
· Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation covering sales performance, customer contracts, feedback, and prospect databases.
· Ensure effective internal communication and alignment across Sales, Operations, Marketing, and F&B teams.

Effectively pitch offerings to schools, corporates, event organizers, and community groups, tailoring solutions to their needs.
· Customized Package Development:
Create and propose tailored packages for events such as birthday parties, school trips, and corporate outings.
· Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Utilize diverse prospecting techniques including cold calling, networking, and in-person outreach (e.g., school visits) to build and maintain a healthy pipeline using CRM tools.
· Sales Negotiation & Closing:
Negotiate and finalize group deals, event packages, and long-term agreements with professionalism, securing clear terms and timely follow-ups.
· Client Relationship Management:
Foster and maintain long-term relationships with schools, event planners, and other key clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
· Revenue Forecasting & Reporting:
Set sales targets, track performance, and deliver accurate revenue forecasts to inform business strategy.
Business Development Skills
· Strategic Prospecting:
Identify and target high-potential customer segments, including schools, corporates, daycare centers, event planners, and community groups.
Develop customized outreach strategies using email campaigns, social media, phone calls, and direct visits.
· Networking & Relationship Building:
Build strong partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions, event agencies, and community organizations.
Represent the FEC at local events, expos, and networking forums to expand brand visibility and drive leads.
· Opportunity Analysis & Market Insights:
Research local market conditions, customer behaviors, and competitor offerings.
Identify service gaps and recommend innovative programs such as school holiday camps or sensory-friendly events.
· Proposal Development & Pitching:
Craft compelling, customized proposals tailored to diverse client needs (e.g., educational field trips vs. corporate family days).
Present clear pricing structures, event logistics, and value propositions aligned with client objectives.
· Sales Funnel & Conversion Tactics:
Guide leads through the full sales funnel—from initial awareness to final commitment—using persuasive communication and consistent follow-ups.
Address objections proactively and flexibly to close deals effectively.
· Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment:
Partner with the Marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and drive event visibility.
Coordinate with Operations and F&B teams to ensure flawless event execution and client satisfaction.
· Goal-Oriented Execution:
Set clear revenue and visitor number targets, prioritize high-value opportunities, and continuously analyze results to optimize strategies and performance.
Qualifications & Other Requirements
Educational Background
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Advertising, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Professional Experience
Prior experience in sales coordination, business development roles, preferably from a pre-opening environment.
Familiarity with Family Entertainment Centers (FEC), Adventure parks, hospitality, events and entertainment industries is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with CRM systems and sales management tools is preferred.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital outreach strategies in the leisure and entertainment sector (desirable).
Core Competencies
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with strong editing and attention to detail.
Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Additional Requirements
· Must be flexible to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on business needs.
· Valid UAE Driving License and access to a vehicle (preferred).
· Positive attitude, proactive work ethic, and a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
· Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in sales, preferably in FEC, hospitality, entertainment, or events industries,
Language Skills
Fluency in English is required.
Arabic fluency is highly preferred; additional international languages are a plus.
