Job Description
  1. Ensure daily sales targets are met consistently.
  2. Greet customers and determine their needs or preferences.
  3. Describe merchandise and explain fabric care instructions.
  4. Assist customers in selecting, locating, or obtaining merchandise based on their needs.
  5. Calculate sales prices, total purchases, and process payments via cash or credit.
  6. Respond to customer inquiries about the store and its products.
  7. Stay informed about current sales, promotions, store policies, and security procedures.
  8. Maintain sales records accurately.
  9. Demonstrate merchandise use or operation when required.
  10. Place special orders or contact other stores to find specific items.
  11. Neatly fold and organize merchandise.
  12. Monitor for security risks and theft, and know how to handle such situations.
  13. Manage inventory and requisition new stock as needed.
  14. Ensure items are properly priced, displayed, and promoted.
  15. Handle merchandise exchanges and returns.
  16. Keep shelves, counters, and the store clean, including windows and floors.
  17. Regularly clear fitting rooms and assist customers with trying on merchandise.
  18. Expand the customer base by adding new contacts to the mailing list.
  19. Arrange for delivery, insurance, financing, or service contracts for products.
  20. Estimate and communicate trade-in allowances.
  21. Operate cash registers, including cash counting, balancing, and deposits.
  22. Estimate quantities and costs for merchandise like paint or flooring.
  23. Package purchases and wrap gifts.
  24. Estimate costs for repairs or alterations.
  25. Implement security measures to prevent theft and handle shoplifting incidents.
