We are seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to drive the expansion of our Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) energy storage solutions in the Middle East. Based in Dubai, UAE, this role is responsible for developing commercial opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and driving regional sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical sales and business development within BESS solutions, with experience in energy storage, power infrastructure, and industrial applications. Experience working with utilities, EPC firms, and large-scale industrial customers in the GCC region is highly desirable. This position offers long-term career development within an international organization and the opportunity to play a key role in the growth of VRFB energy storage in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Business Development: Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to expand market presence and increase sales of VRFB energy storage solutions.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with utilities, industrial customers, and EPC partners.
  3. Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, customer engagement, contract negotiation, and project handover.
  4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including CxO-level executives, procurement teams, and regulatory authorities.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and finance, to ensure successful project execution.
  1. Customer & Market Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their operational and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with VRFB energy storage solutions.
  2. Provide commercial and technical insights to customers, ensuring a strong understanding of VRFB technology and its applications.
  3. Stay informed about market trends, policy developments, and competitive landscape in the Middle East energy storage sector.
  4. Support the development of sales forecasts, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.
  1. Industry Positioning & Strategic Growth: Represent the company at regional industry events, exhibitions, and conferences, promoting VRFB solutions and enhancing brand presence.
  2. Deliver customer presentations and participate in panel discussions, positioning the company as a leader in long-duration energy storage.
  3. Support regional marketing initiatives, collaborating with corporate teams to develop targeted campaigns and outreach efforts.
  4. Identify and establish strategic partnerships with EPC firms, technology providers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate business expansion.
  1. Project & Technical Coordination (as needed): Assist in aligning customer project requirements with VRFB system specifications.
  2. Work with internal teams to ensure technical feasibility, compliance with regulatory standards, and smooth project execution.
  3. Provide input on customer proposals, feasibility studies, and grid integration requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Professional Experience: 8-10 years in sales, business development, or key account management within the BESS solutions, energy, power, or renewals sector.
  2. Experience in selling energy storage solutions (preferably VRFB) or related power infrastructure technologies in the GCC market.
  3. Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of closing high-value energy storage projects.
  4. Experience working with utilities, industrial clients, and EPC firms is an advantage.
  1. Technical & Commercial Skills: Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a consultative sales approach.
  2. Familiarity with VRFB energy storage systems, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and grid integration requirements is beneficial.
  3. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, energy policies, and market trends in the Middle East.
  4. Excellent negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and customer satisfaction.
  1. Education & Language Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is an advantage.
  2. Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  3. Additional European language skills are beneficial.
