Job Purpose:
The Duty-Free Sales Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, generating sales, and maintaining a positive work environment within the Duty-Free store. Identify new customer leads, and pitch prospective customers. Maintaining good customer relations and pursuing new sales opportunities and maximize revenue by assisting customers in selecting products, promoting, and selling Duty-Free items, processing transactions, managing inventory, building relationships, upselling, and adhering to regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting and assisting customers in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences.
  2. Promoting and selling a wide range of Duty-Free products, including fragrances, cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco, roastery, confectionery, supermarket items, toiletries, and souvenirs.
  3. Processing transactions, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and well-organized sales area.
  4. Building strong relationships with customers and providing personalized recommendations.
  5. Upselling and cross-selling products to enhance sales volumes.
  6. Suggest additional products to increase sales.
  7. Adhering to all applicable customs and Duty-Free regulations.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations.
  9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  10. Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
  11. Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  12. Works well in a fast-paced workplace and is good at multi-tasking.
  13. Ensures that daily counts on fast moving items and other items as required are conducted consistently and that any discrepancies are reported immediately to the Duty-Free Shift Leaders.
  14. Assisting Duty Free Shift Leaders in their duties and other official duties as instructed.
  15. Assisting physical inventory counts, merchandising, stocks receiving, and stocks movement and other Duty-Free works as instructed by shift leaders.
  16. Working conditions can work flexible shift.

Customer Service:

  1. Greet and welcome customers promptly and courteously.
  2. Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products.
  3. Provide product information and recommendations to customers.
  4. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively and professionally.
  5. Maintain a positive and welcoming environment for customers.

Reporting:

  1. Reporting to Shift Leader.
  2. Report any suspicious activities or incidents immediately to Duty Free Manager.

Qualifications:

Educational Qualifications:
BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales preferred. A high school degree or equivalent is required, and Fluent in the English language and Knowledge of multiple languages preferred.

Professional Qualifications:
Customer service, Meeting sales goals, Closing skills, Self-confidence, and Product knowledge. Positive attitude and good communication skills and Able to get on with others and be a team-player.

EXPERIENCE:
Required Experience:
Two to Three years of Retail sales experience or in a similar customer service role. Experience in a retail or Duty-Free environment preferred.

Other Requirements:
Hours of operation may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift and carry heavy items. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations and Excellent grooming standards. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
