Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years’ previous experience as Senior Bartender in a luxury bar/hotel.
  • Previous employment experience in a similar position with other luxury Hotels is an advantage.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.

About the role

Saikindō Senior Bartender provides hotel guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service with a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar.

What you will do
  1. Support Head Mixologist of area in planning, organizing, controlling and directing the work of Bartender in the Restaurant or Bar, ensuring guest satisfaction, revenue, and team development.
  2. Maintain a working knowledge of food, wine, spirits, cocktails.
  3. The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
  4. Ensure excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to coordinate effectively between departments.
  5. Maintain the concept and position of the restaurant or bar in the community.
  6. Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for all meals.
  7. Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees within the Restaurant or Bar to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; engage in long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
  8. Be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle guest, client, and group requests or concerns.
  9. Provide knowledge and skill training to team both on the job and through classroom training.
  10. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
  11. Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  12. Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and recommend corrections and improvements as needed.
  13. Forecast workloads and arrange work schedules accordingly to guest needs.
  14. Operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems as required.
  15. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the F&B Outlet Manager, Director of Beverage, Assistant Director of F&B, and Hotel Manager.
What you bring
  1. 2 to 3 years’ previous experience as Senior Bartender in a luxury bar/hotel.
  2. College education or equivalent experience.
  3. Previous employment experience in a similar position with other luxury Hotels is an advantage.
  4. Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
  5. Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
  6. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  7. Working knowledge of division operations and Four Seasons standards, policies, and procedures, generally learned on-the-job.
  8. Positive, energetic, and professional attitude with a team-oriented approach.
  9. Ability to proactively anticipate and prioritize guest needs.
