Job description

Safety Officer - UAE National - Dubai/ Abu Dhabi

Functional Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and implement site HSE plan as per agreed project schedule.
  2. Regularly inspect site for adherence to safety standards as specified by the government authorities.
  3. Conduct safety inspection on site and send weekly report to HSE Manager and Project Lead.
  4. Prepare accident report highlighting cause of accident, propose corrective action and implement to prevent recurrence.
  5. Identify unsafe practices on site, prepare necessary nonconformity reports, record the same and follow up for corrective action.
  6. Conduct regular Tool Box Talk & maintain records.
  7. Impart training and awareness amongst all site staff and subcontractors in safety and first aid guidelines.
  8. Participate in management/client safety meetings when required.
  9. Responsible for overall HSE related obligations at site.
  10. Ensure all contractors work safely in accordance with the site safety plan.
  11. Act as point of contact for all HSE related enquiries and emergencies for allocated sites/projects.
  12. Report all injuries/accidents as per standard operating procedures.
  13. Maintain accurate administrative records of emergency drills and site inspections.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education/Certification and Continued Education: Diploma/Certification in Construction Safety Engineering or any equivalent vocational safety certification - Nebosh & IOSH certifications required or equivalent.
  • Years of Experience: Fresh graduate or minimum experience in the same field.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Know-how and expertise in safety regulations.
