Safety Officer

Job Title: Safety Officer

Job Location: Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day safety operations on the construction site.
2. Monitor activities to ensure compliance with company safety policies and government regulations.
3. Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential hazards.
4. Perform risk assessments before new projects or tasks are initiated.
5. Develop and implement safety measures to control identified risks.
6. Investigate accidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions on the construction site.
7. Prepare incident reports and propose measures to prevent future occurrences.
8. Conduct safety inductions for all workers and visitors before they start working on-site.
9. Provide regular training on construction safety topics, such as fall prevention, equipment safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.

Job Details:

1. Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Certification in Construction Safety (e.g., OSHA Construction Safety, NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
3. At least 2-3 years of experience working as a Safety Officer in a construction environment.
4. In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and standards.

Skills:

1. Excellent understanding of construction processes and associated risks.
2. Strong communication skills for delivering training and interacting with workers.
3. Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans.
4. Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
