Job summary

Jumbo Electronic Co. Ltd ( LLC ) is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer in the UAE. The role requires 2–5 years of UAE-specific HSE experience in industrial plants, with strong knowledge of confined space entry, fire safety, gas testing, lifting and rigging, and incident investigations.

The candidate will develop HSE plans, conduct site inspections, lead toolbox talks and inductions, and manage permit-to-work systems to ensure safe operations across sites.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years UAE experience as HSE officer in industrial plants.
• Knowledge of confined space entry, manual handling and working at height.
• Familiar with gas testing and emergency response procedures.
• Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment and control.
• Experience creating HSE plans, inspections, and checklists.
• Conduct toolbox talks, inductions and safety trainings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site safety inspections and prepare checklists.
• Prepare and execute HSE plans and monthly safety reports.
• Issue permit-to-work (height work, hot work, confined space, excavation).
• Lead safety trainings, toolbox talks and inductions.
• Investigate accidents/near misses and prepare reports.
• Implement preventive measures for leaks, spills and contamination.
• Control major hazards (fire, toxic gas, electrical, chemicals).
• Ensure compliance with safety norms and department functioning.

Education : Degree / Diploma In Industrial Safety And Fire Safety, With Safety Certifications like Certificate In First Aid With Fire Safety & Rescue

• Experience : 2- 5 years’ experience in UAE as industrial plants as Health and safety officer
• Awareness on confined space entry and Hand safety and manual handling working at height ,authorized gas testing, Emergency Response
• Hazard Identification Lifting and rigging
• Preparing Safe Work Methodology/job safety hazards analysis as per requirement.
• Conducting site safety inspections and preparing checklists
• Conducting daily ToolBox Talks and Induction training. And To keep firefighting
• Preparation of HSE plan and execute these and Preparing monthly safety
• performance report and preparing daily side safety observation
• Conducting accident/incident/near miss instigation,
• Preparing report. Issuing permit-to-work (working at height hot work in confined space and excavation).
• Preventive measures for any kind of leakage/spillage of dangerous/toxic substances.
• Preventive measures for any kind of contamination to Air, Solid, Water.
• Preparing presentation in PowerPoint and giving audio/visual special safety training for safety awareness.
• Conducting safety Motivation programs and safety meetings.
• To control major Hazards like fire explosion toxic gas release electrical and chemicals etc
• Ensure smooth functioning of the safety department.
• Ensure effective practices of safety norms within the safety premises.
• Capable of handling situations in the most befitting manner at the shortest time.
• Identification of hazard zones and ensuring adequate safety measures as the Situation.
• Proven record of excellence and dependability.

Desired Candidate Profile

Valid UAE Driving License is desired
