Job Description:

HSE Officer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is seeking a talented HSE Officer to join our team! In this role, you will liaise with the Safety Manager and Contractors to improve and implement Corporate HSE Management practices.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Implement Modon and Parsons HSE policies, plans, legislation, and other requirements; monitor HSE performance and targets; suggest improvements.
2. Liaise with Safety Manager and Contractors to enhance HSE management practices.
3. Monitor contractors to ensure safety measures and best practices are implemented.
4. Review hazard analysis and risk assessments for key activities; monitor hazard control measures; conduct HSE visits and report to Resident Engineer for rectification.
5. Review and monitor contractors' monthly HSE inspections and reports.
6. Conduct monthly safety meetings, set targets, and prepare follow-up minutes.
7. Review emergency preparedness, permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, HSE meetings, and statistics per company requirements.
8. Review incident and accident investigation reports; communicate learning points; monitor corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
9. Perform other relevant responsibilities as needed.

Required Skills:

1. B.Sc. or Diploma in environmental/loss prevention or relevant engineering disciplines from an accredited university.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of construction supervision experience as a Safety Officer.
3. Mandatory equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Education.
4. Recognized health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHAD - Qudorat, First Aid, Fire Safety) and UAE license or training.
5. Ability to attend in-person interviews.

Desired Skills:

1. At least 3 years of recent experience in infrastructure and landscape construction supervision.
2. Experience working in an engineering consulting firm preferred.
3. Experience in the UAE and possessing a driving license is an advantage.
