Job summary

KEO is seeking a Safety Inspector based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focuses on daily HSE inspections across villa, residential and building projects, ensuring contractor compliance with HSE plans and PTW, and driving corrective actions to maintain a safe site environment.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience with a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, plus NEBOSH IGC or equivalent and ISO-45001 Lead Auditor qualifications. UAE-building project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Carrying out daily HSE inspections on villa, residential and building projects.
• Monitoring contractor compliance with HSE plans, procedures, method statements and PTW.
• Identifying unsafe acts/conditions and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities including structural, architectural, MEP, fit-out and external works.
• Follow up on HSE observations, improvement notices and corrective actions.
• Monitor site safety requirements, PPE, housekeeping, access and egress, and working at height.
• Support incident/near-miss investigations and track corrective actions.
• Participate in toolbox talks, HSE meetings, safety walks and site inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, observations, incidents and actions.
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams to promote a safe working environment.

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Safety Inspector to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

We envisage success in this role to include;

• Conducting daily HSE inspections across villa, residential, and building construction projects.
• Monitoring contractor compliance with approved HSE plans, procedures, method statements, risk assessments, and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.
• Identifying unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
• Inspecting construction activities including structural works, architectural works, MEP installations, fit-out, finishing, and external works.
• Following up on HSE observations, improvement notices, and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
• Monitoring compliance with site safety requirements, PPE standards, housekeeping, access and egress, working at height, lifting operations, and other construction safety controls.
• Supporting incident and near-miss investigations and monitoring the implementation of corrective actions.
• Participating in toolbox talks, HSE meetings, safety walks, and site inspections.
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections, observations, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Coordinating with contractors and project teams to promote a safe working environment throughout villa and building construction works.

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 8 years' career experience partnered with a Diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent along with ISO-45001 Lead Auditor qualification are required.

Project experience gained from working on building projects in UAE is being looked for.
