Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Safety, Health & Environment Specialist II to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety, health, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and propose preventive measures.
  • Design and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, safety regulations, and industry-specific standards.
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including reports, permits, and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with management to integrate safety practices into all aspects of operations.
  • Analyze safety data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and regulatory bodies on safety-related matters.
  • Stay updated on emerging safety technologies and best practices in the field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in safety, health, and environmental management, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and environmental management systems.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply safety data to drive improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence others.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and familiar with safety management software.
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) preferred.
  • Knowledge of UAE labor laws and safety regulations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety training programs.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various work sites as needed.
