Job Title: Safety Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Engineer to join our team and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our facilities and operations. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols, procedures, and initiatives to ensure the safety and well-being of employees, guests, and property assets.

Job Description:

As a Safety Engineer, you will focus on ensuring compliance with safety regulations, identifying risks, and mitigating hazards. You will also foster a culture of safety across the organization, coordinate emergency response measures, and drive continuous improvements in safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and protocols in line with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Risk Assessments & Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits across facilities, equipment, and operational processes to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Safety Culture: Collaborate with department heads and employees to cultivate a strong safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and clear communication.
  • Accident & Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, analyze root causes, and develop corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Emergency Response Coordination: Lead emergency response planning, including evacuation drills, first aid training, and crisis management protocols, ensuring readiness for emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in safety engineering or safety management, ideally within a hospitality or facility management setting.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards relevant to various industries.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Work Style: Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
