Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Safety Assistant Engineer to support and enforce HSE procedures across site operations, ensuring a safe working environment. The role emphasizes monitoring high-risk activities such as confined space entry, TBM backup and lifting, and ensuring compliance with permits and safety standards.

You will assist in regular site inspections, identify potential hazards, and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions during each shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) required.
• Experience or familiarity with HSE procedures is expected.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Safety Assistant Engineers are responsible for supporting the implementation and enforcement of HSE procedures across site operations to maintain a safe working environment. The role involves actively monitoring high-risk activities such as confined space entry, TBM backup operations, lifting activities, electrical works and cross passage construction, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with approved permits and safety standards. They assist in conducting routine site inspections, identifying potential hazards and ensuring immediate reporting and corrective action during each shift. Additionally, the role includes coordinating with supervisors and safety teams to promote safety awareness, maintain compliance with regulatory and project requirements and contribute to the prevention of incidents and unsafe practices on site.
