Job description

  • Greeting Guests: Welcome guests upon their arrival and ensure a positive first impression.

  • Reservation Management: Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of available space.

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries resolving issues and ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Seating Guests: Escort guests to their tables present menus and assist in seating arrangements according to the reservation and seating plan.

  • Communication: Collaborate with the waitstaff kitchen and management to coordinate efficient and smooth operations.

  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and dining section.

  • Assisting with Events: During events or busy periods hostesses may be required to assist in organizing and coordinating special functions.

  • Upselling: Promote special offers menu items or promotions to increase revenue.

  • Knowledge of the Establishment: Stay informed about the restaurants menu specials and events to provide accurate information to guests.

  • Handling Reservations: Manage phone and online reservations confirm bookings and maintain an organized reservation system.

  • Adhering to Policies: Follow company policies procedures and guidelines related to customer service and hospitality.

  • Qualifications :

    High school diploma or equivalent is usually the minimum requirement. Some employers may prefer candidates with vocational training certificates or degrees in hospitality management or a related field.
