Job summary

NMDC Energy in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior ROV supervisor to oversee installation, commissioning, and operations of ROV systems on offshore vessels.

You will ensure readiness, perform checks, prepare dossiers, monitor performance, and mentor operators, while maintaining QA/QC and safety standards.

This role requires a diploma in engineering, IMCA ROV certification, and extensive offshore experience.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics.
  • IMCA ROV certification required.
  • Experience with offshore/onshore ROV operations and supervisory duties.
  • ADNOC and ARAMCO approvals are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all ROV systems meet OEM, company, and client requirements.
  • Supervise installation, commissioning, and readiness of ROV units onboard vessels.
  • Perform pre- and post-mobilization checks and verify system function.
  • Prepare ROV dossiers and audit documentation for client approval.
  • Monitor ROV performance and coordinate troubleshooting with departments.
  • Maintain safety protocols for mobilization, storage, and operations.
  • Attend client inspections and maintain professional relationships.
  • Ensure QA/QC compliance and submit R006 audit documentation on time.
  • Mentor operators and technicians and conduct performance reviews.

Education

Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent
IMCA ROV certification
ADNOC & ARAMCO approvals preferable
Minimum 08 years’ experience in offshore and onshore ROV and offshore vessels operations, including operational and supervisory responsibilities in similar industries

  • Supervise installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of ROV units onboard vessels.
  • Conduct pre- and post-mobilization checks, verifying all systems function properly before deployment.
  • Prepare, review, and submit ROV dossiers and audit documentation for client approval.
  • Monitor ROV operational performance, troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating resolution with relevant departments.
  • Manage safe mobilization, demobilization, and storage of ROV equipment according to safety protocols.
  • Execute main lift operations and tether terminations while ensuring adherence to HSE requirements.
  • Conduct electrical and hydraulic tests to verify system integrity and readiness for operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of ROV operations, inspections, maintenance, and issues.
  • Attend client inspections onboard, maintaining professional relationships and ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal QA/QC standards and submit R006 audit documentation accurately and on time.
  • Monitor inventory and general housekeeping to maintain system readiness and operational efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and support to ROV operators and technicians, fostering team efficiency and safety.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and recommend improvements for ROV operations

Qualifications for Internal Candidates
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent
  • IMCA ROV certification
  • ADNOC & ARAMCO approvals preferable
