We have an opportunity for a Rotating Equipment Design Engineer.

Role: Rotating Equipment Design Engineer

Location: Dubai (UAE)

Experience: 4 to 8 Years

Industry: O&G, EPCM/PMC & FEED

Contract is for one year with possible extension.

Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours a day

Responsibilities:

• Define and develop technical specifications, datasheets, and equipment selections for rotating equipment to meet process duty requirements.
• Conduct equipment sizing, performance analyses, stress/vibration assessments, fatigue evaluations, and mechanical integrity checks.
• Prepare inquiry packages, conduct technical bid evaluations, review vendor drawings and documentation, and act as technical liaison between vendors, clients, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with process, piping, electrical, civil, and commissioning teams to resolve technical interfaces and ensure integrated design delivery.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and startup phases; assist in troubleshooting and performance validation on-site.
• Ensure design integrity and project conformance by applying international standards (API 610/617, ASME, ISO, ANSI).
• Prepare P&IDs, datasheets, layout drawings, technical reports, and design calculations.
• Share technical insights, lessons learned, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, focusing on rotating machinery.
• 6-10 years of experience in rotating equipment design within oil & gas EPC projects, especially in the Middle East is a plus.
• Proficiency in rotating equipment standards (API, ASME, ISO).
• Skilled in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Bentley) and engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, vibration analysis).
• Strong abilities in equipment sizing and datasheet development.
