Job Description
Job Summary:

The Rooms Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating the housekeeping and room operations within the hotel to ensure high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. This role involves overseeing housekeeping staff, ensuring room readiness, maintaining quality control, and assisting in training and development. The Team Leader will work closely with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience and ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring rooms and public areas meet hotel cleanliness standards.

  • Assign tasks and monitor the performance of housekeeping staff to ensure efficiency and quality.

  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, addressing any deficiencies.

  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, hygiene regulations, and safety standards.

  • Assist in training housekeeping staff on best practices, procedures, and customer service.

  • Monitor room inventory, linen supplies, and cleaning equipment, ensuring proper stock levels.

  • Address guest requests, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

  • Coordinate with maintenance and front office teams to ensure room readiness and smooth guest check-ins.

  • Implement and oversee housekeeping schedules and shift planning to maintain efficiency.

  • Report and document any maintenance or repair needs in guest rooms and common areas.

Desired Skill & Expertise
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping or hotel operations experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and quality control.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high productivity and staff morale.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and staff.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housekeeping management software.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
