Roll & Stand Fitter

To assemble Rolls stands and associated equipment as per the given instruction & as per the requirement of Production.

Accountability & Activities

Key Activities

• Responsibilities:
  • Assembly Line: To assemble Rolls and stands as per the running sizes in the mills.
  • Preparation and Planning: Keeping ready the spare stands for the size rolled to overcome any unforeseen problems.
  • Mill Maintenance: Servicing and overhauling of mill stand.
  • Audit: To maintain and overhaul the QTB & QTR Equipment.
  • Assistance: Assist the Guide fitters to make the Guides ready for the stands. To assist the block fitters as and when required.
• Policies and Procedures: To adhere to the company Quality and Environment policy.
• Additional Duties and Responsibilities: To work on the other areas as instructed by the Supervisor.

Knowledge Skills and/or Abilities (attributes) required

Roll & Stand Fitter

Ensure Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Support the promotion of a strong safety culture by actively participating in safety initiatives and fostering safe work practices. Assist in managing safety risks monitoring equipment and contributing to performance outcomes. Ensure compliance with EHS legislative requirements and the Companys EHS policies procedures and standards among team members and contractors.

Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum Qualification (Educational Qualifications Trainings or Certifications) – Technical High School.
• Professional Experience – 4 years in a modern Roll shop pertaining to long product mills in the area of stand assembly as fitter.
• Language(s) Known – Arabic (Preferred), English (Essential).
