Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Materials Inspector for major roads and infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves inspecting works and supervising activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety requirements on site.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s or diploma in a technical field with 5+ years of lab materials testing and field inspection experience, preferably in the Middle East and on roads/bridges projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in laboratory materials testing and field inspection.
• Middle East experience preferred.
• Experience on roads and bridges projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes applicable codes, standards and project contract documents and monitors construction activities to ensure compliance.
• Provides general inspection on all construction and subcontractor work to assure a safe and workmanlike operation.
• Verifies equipment settings, alignment, testing and energization requirements.
• Maintain records of the contractor human and equipment daily resources.
• Prepare daily report to the RE or ARE and follow site instructions.
