As part of our global expansion plan, we are now looking for an ambitious and agile Risk Manager to join our Risk team.
Job Purpose
You will report to the Risk Management Director and manage a portfolio of clients on an ongoing basis by acting as their outsourced Risk Officer. In addition, you will deliver a variety of assurance and advisory-based risk and business continuity engagements. You will also contribute to the continued success of the business by networking with external business contacts and writing client proposals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead on the development and maintenance of risk management frameworks, covering operational, credit and market risk within the UAE, KSA, and other jurisdictions.
Work with clients to determine each firm's risk appetite, as aligned to their strategy and business objectives.
Host risk workshops to support the development of risk registers and RCSAs.
Deliver Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) exercises.
Design and deliver risk management reporting (risks, KRI, risk events, etc.)
Attend board meetings and provide risk management updates concerning changes to each client's risk profile.
Deliver risk management training.
Develop best-in-class risk management policies and procedures.

Experience (essential to any successful application)
Minimum 10+ years overall relevant experience with 6 or more years of either risk management experience within the financial services industry (or in a professional services firm advising financial services clients).
Experience of creating and implementing industry-leading approaches to risk management within financial services or other commercial and/or public sector institutions.
Knowledge and experience of designing and implementing risk management processes across various risk areas including strategic risk, financial risk, operational risk, etc.
Practical experience of business continuity including the development of Business Continuity Plans, Business Impact Analysis and IT Disaster Recovery Plan (DR) plans.
Practical experience of overseeing cyber security arrangements from policy management and governance perspective.
Awareness of current global trends in risk management and knowledge of good risk management practice.
Previous experience of working in professional services, especially when working in business development (preferable).
Experience of risk management in the MENA region, including interaction with regulatory authorities e.g. Dubai Financial Services Authority (DIFC), Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Virtual Assets Regulation Authority (VARA), Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, State Bank of Pakistan, Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority, Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
Skills
Demonstrate ability to execute tasks effectively on time and to expected client and regulatory standards.
Ability to design and implement Credit, Liquidity and Operational Risk Management frameworks and processes, including RCSAs, risk events, KRIs and stress and scenario testing.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels, including business owners, board level directors and regulators.
Capability to interact with internal teams and clients from different cultural backgrounds and nationalities.
Motivated self-starter with ability to solve and recommend solutions to clients and solve internal business problems, often either at pace or with minimal guidance.
Ability to tailor recommendations and communication style based upon each client size and complexity.

Qualifications
Minimum bachelor's degree from a leading university with concentration preferably in Risk Management, Business Studies or Finance.
Current risk management certification from CERA, CRM, FRM, PRM, or RIMS is essential.
