Job description

Join to apply for the Risk and Quality Manager role at FADA.

Role Purpose :

The Risk and Quality Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining FADA’s risk management and quality assurance frameworks in alignment with EDGE Group’s corporate governance standards. The role will ensure compliance, manage operational risks, and promote a culture of continuous improvement, especially within the high-stakes, regulated environment of space and advanced defense technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Risk Management :
  2. Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework aligned with EDGE policies and UAE regulations.
  3. Identify, assess, and monitor risks across FADA’s programs and operations (technical, operational, financial, strategic, and compliance).
  4. Facilitate risk assessments, maintain risk registers, and coordinate mitigation planning.
  5. Prepare periodic risk reports and present risk trends and issues to executive leadership.
  6. Support project teams in managing risks for high-impact programs including technology development, defense solutions, and R&D.

Quality Management :

  1. Design and implement a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards (e.g., AS9100 if applicable to aerospace).
  2. Establish and monitor quality KPIs and conduct internal audits to ensure adherence.
  3. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions in case of deviations or non-conformities.
  4. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Program Management to embed quality standards at every project stage.
  5. Manage documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Governance :

  1. Ensure compliance with EDGE Group policies, UAE regulations, and international standards.
  2. Support external and internal audits, including regulatory inspections or customer audits.
  3. Liaise with legal and governance teams on contract risk assessments and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications and Experience :

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Risk Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, PMP, CRM, Six Sigma) preferred.
  2. 8+ years of experience in risk, quality, or compliance roles, ideally within space, defense, or technology-driven industries.
  3. Experience with satellite systems, space hardware, and manufacturing processes.
  4. Familiar with supply chain risks management.
  5. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
