Rigging Supervisor
Job description
- Supervise and coordinate all rigging and lifting activities at the site in compliance with ADNOC safety regulations.
- Ensure proper selection, inspection, and certification of rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chains, and hoists.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop lifting plans in coordination with site engineers.
- Ensure all rigging work is carried out safely and efficiently following ADNOC and international standards.
- Provide guidance and instructions to riggers ensuring safe rigging and lifting operations.
- Verify load calculations and lifting capacities of cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC PTW (Permit to Work) system and safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings related to rigging and lifting operations.
- Maintain proper documentation of rigging operations, equipment certifications, and daily progress reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and HSE teams to ensure smooth lifting activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Rigging Supervisor in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in ADNOC projects.
Certifications:
- Lifting Supervisor Certificate (approved by ADNOC/Third Party)
- TUV/LEEA Certified Rigger Level 3 or 4
- OPITO / TUV / ADNOC approved Rigging & Lifting training
Knowledge of ADNOC Standards: Must be familiar with ADNOC lifting and rigging guidelines.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and lifting procedures.
HSE Compliance: Good understanding of HSE regulations and ADNOC safety protocols.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with teams and management.
Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to work in challenging site conditions.
