Job summary

Miral Experiences Leisure Facilities in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the Technical Services Rides Department. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rides, facilities and attractions to ensure safety and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include daily checks, start-up/closing, troubleshooting downtime, and ensuring maintenance manuals and schematics are understood. Requires 3+ years in maintenance and electrical or mechanical expertise.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in maintenance with focus on rides and attractions.
• Able to read and understand operations and maintenance manuals.
• Experience reading drawings, schematics, hydraulic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks, start-up, closing procedures, preventive and corrective maintenance for all rides and attractions.
• Ensure ride readiness before park operating hours and maintain safety for guests and staff.
• Respond to downtime, troubleshoot issues, and reduce downtime through preventive tasks.
• Report issues to Team Leaders and ensure preventive maintenance checklists are completed on time.
• Attend briefs, training, and development programs.

To ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Miral Experiences Leisure Facilities in the Technical Services Rides Department in relation to the Company Core Process; thus, directly impacting on the maintenance of rides, facilities and attractions. This position provides all of the necessary maintenance required for preserving and improving the physical functionality, safety and appearance of all rides and attractions and facilities in order to ensure Guest satisfaction.

Job scope

• Perform daily checks, start-up, closing procedures, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance for all rides, attractions.
• Ensure the rides and attractions readiness before time depending on the park operational hours.
• Maintain and ensure that all rides and attractions are safe for all colleagues and guests.
• Respond and resolve call of downtime of the rides and attractions.
• Reduce downtime in the rides and attractions by ensuring that all Preventive Maintenance activities are performed well based on manufacturers’ requirements.
• Responsible in reporting and informing Team Leaders with regard to the issues and concerns that affects the safe operation of all rides and attractions.
• Ensure that all Preventive Maintenance Checklists are completed and submitted to Team Leader on deadline.
• Ensure that all Corrective Maintenance is performed well and eliminate from happening again.
• Attend briefing, training and development program for personal growth.

Minimum qualifications, experience and skills requirements

Essential

• Electrical or Mechanical Diploma.
• 3+ years in maintenance field.
• To be expert in at least one of the following fields:
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical
• Good English speaking and writing abilities.
• Physical fitness.
• Capable of reading and understanding operations and maintenance manuals of all rides and attractions.
• Willing to learn and develop their skills and knowledge by engaging in work either in electrical or mechanical aspects.
• Capable to work in environment where temperatures are adequate to extreme, with some hazardous conditions caused by noise, chemicals, dust, etc.
• With experience in reading drawings, schematic diagrams, hydraulic drawings and diagrams.
• Experience in troubleshooting and solving issues with rides and attractions.

Desirable

• Degree in any electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical course.
• Technical education/training in vocational training institute in their field of expertise.
• 4+ years’ ride-related experience in a Theme Park or Amusement Industry maintaining rides & attractions.
