Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose various rheumatological conditions, including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and vasculitis
  • Design tailored treatment plans that consider the unique needs and preferences of each patient
  • Perform therapeutic procedures such as joint injections and arthrocentesis
  • Educate patients and their families about disease processes, treatments, and lifestyle modifications to improve outcomes
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in research initiatives and stay updated on the latest advancements in rheumatology
  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion while building trusting relationships with patients

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Rheumatology
  • Current medical license in good standing
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in rheumatology
  • Deep understanding of rheumatic diseases, treatment protocols, and patient management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient engagement
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
