Job Description

The Revenue Manager is responsible for optimizing the hotel’s and RGI (Revenue Generation Index) sales revenue. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Interacting closely with the hotel’s senior management.
  2. Participating in budget and strategy development, and ensuring their implementation.
  3. Managing pricing strategies and inventory optimization.
  4. Providing a global perspective on Revenue Management across the hotel.
  5. Organizing and monitoring all related activities.
  6. Maintaining proper grooming standards at all times.
  7. Attending scheduled training sessions.
  8. Fostering cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
  9. Having comprehensive knowledge of all hotel facilities and daily activities.
  10. Supporting the budgetary process and annual strategy.
  11. Developing yearly budgets per segment and per day.
  12. Setting sales strategies and annual rate tables for all market segments.
  13. Developing and steering the hotel’s Revenue strategy.
  14. Preparing forecasts and leading Revenue meetings.
  15. Implementing pricing strategies and circulating recommendations.
  16. Nurturing relationships with internet partners.
  17. Updating rates and restrictions across all distribution channels.
  18. Studying market and competition data daily.
  19. Producing benchmarking and performance reports.
  20. Maintaining work systems and tools.
  21. Managing revenue reporting systems and reservation pattern analysis.
  22. Staying updated on software and data management trends.
  23. Having thorough knowledge of hotel products, rates, and promotions, and participating in cross-selling.
  24. Monitoring competitor hotel and restaurant products, providing weekly updates.
  25. Providing market intelligence by monitoring business sources and segments.
  26. Engaging in multi-departmental selling and pursuing new market segments.
  27. Assisting the DOSM in proposal preparation for new markets.
  28. Promoting a positive hotel image and ensuring revenue and cost controls are maximized proactively.
  29. Reporting industry and local market trends.
  30. Attending scheduled revenue meetings.
  31. Being punctual, well-groomed, and compliant with hotel rules and regulations.
  32. Managing staff holiday and leave balances, fostering employee morale, and promoting a professional image.
  33. Anticipating customer needs to enhance service quality and satisfaction.
  34. Supporting colleagues and being flexible to assist in other hotel areas.
  35. Familiarity with company documentation and operational standards.
  36. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hotel Revenue Management or related departments is beneficial.
  • Strong command of English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Hotel Management, Tourism, or Economics.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerBI, or similar data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of hotel technology systems such as PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets.
