A prominent real estate company in Dubai is seeking a Junior Retoucher responsible for editing and publishing photography. The ideal candidate will have experience in photography editing and strong communication skills. This role supports the marketing team and enhances brand awareness through quality image management.
1. JOB SCOPE
The Retoucher is responsible for selecting, editing, uploading, and publishing photographs and
videos to our CRM system, as well as advising agents and photographers regarding image
quality and shot selection. They may, on occasion, also be required to undertake other graphical
responsibilities such as the drawing of floor plans.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Junior Retoucher will play an important role in helping the
Company achieve its vision and strategic profit objectives.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
To be successful, the Junior Retoucher must develop a collaborative work ethic between all
departments and understand the photography editing process in detail. The Photography Editor
is responsible for editing photos to reflect the quality of each unit / property to enhance brand
awareness and perceptions of Better Homes and increase enquiries from client. Other
accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Photography editing:
o Remove and fix dust and scratches
o Lighten or darken areas which needs correction
o Enhance the color by adjusting the color balance
o Enhance the brightness
o Enhance the contrast
o Check whether any unit numbers, images (family pictures), or car plates need to be
erased
o Check whether perspective of image is correct
o Remove any unwanted areas and items
Shared responsibilities / accountabilities
The Junior Retoucher works closely with internal and external stakeholders including agents, owners,
tenants, developers, and internal departmental contacts for Better Homes. In doing so, the
Photography Editor is expected to ensure that company policies have been followed for all
requirements.
3. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s degree or diploma ideally specializing in editing, photography, or graphic design,
with 1 - 2 years of experience, ideally in the property / real estate industry
Above average computer literacy (MS Office, Internet, Database Software, etc.)
Sound familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and other related marketing tools and
techniques
Some experience of managing internal clients
Excellent written and oral communication in English, Arabic would be an advantage
Creative and analytical while possessing personal drive and initiative
Sound presentation skills
