Amazon is looking for a talented Associate Vendor Manager to join the Retail Vendor Recruitment (RVR) organization. As part of the retail organization, the candidate will help to recruit and be in charge of onboarding new vendors. Targeting the most relevant selection for our customers, you will aim at recruiting new vendors and making their selection available on the website. In close coordination with retail teams, you will drive new vendors through all the onboarding phases, up to their first units shipped.

Key job responsibilities

Your objectives will be to build the best possible selection for our customers with the development of partnerships with new vendors. Your job will consist of prospecting, assessing, recruiting, and integrating vendors for Amazon marketplaces. In your day-to-day job, you will be working on multiple prospects including:

  • Identify, prospect, and reach out to new vendors, analyze their potential for Amazon. Lead initial contact by cold-calling potential partners or attending commercial events and trade fairs, confidently explaining the advantages and benefits of partnering with Amazon.
  • Be a business consultant to new vendors, providing insights and advice, and dealing with different business profiles and sectors. Help vendors integrate their catalog data into Amazon store, master Amazon’s internal tools, and train vendors on how to use these tools.
  • Be an ambassador of Amazon for vendors, developing deep knowledge of their needs and success drivers.
  • Plan, conduct, deliver, and report analyses to understand the performance of recruited vendors.
  • Help develop and improve recruiting and onboarding processes, assist in removing technical blockers, and identify areas for technical improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience with Excel
  • 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management / consulting with negotiations and results delivery experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
