Job description

We are seeking a Retail Sales Trainer to join our team and help us create the ultimate luxury fragrance experience for our customers. As our Retail Sales Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering training programs that equip our perfume retail salespeople with the skills and knowledge they need to provide our esteemed clientele with an exceptional shopping experience.

FUNCTIONAL AREAS:

  • Training Program Development:

- Research, develop, and design retail training aids/resources, including handbooks, demonstration methods, multimedia visual aids, and reference materials to support retail sales and service objectives across the group for the assigned regions.

- Plan, design, and execute in-house retail sales training programs, utilizing a blended learning approach such as coaching, classroom training, one-to-one sessions, on-the-job learning, and e-learning.

- Create effective remote working partnerships with a Train-The-Trainer population, engaging, motivating, and training this key team.

- Develop training materials, including presentations, manuals, videos, and interactive modules, to support various learning styles and preferences.

Training Execution:

- Deliver classroom and in-store training across showrooms, emphasizing product features and benefits.

- Demonstrate presentations to sales teams about new product launches, marketing materials, and communication strategies.

- Adapt training delivery methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences.

Training Evaluation and Improvement:

- Work closely with sales teams and analytics teams to identify areas for growth and improvement.

- Monitor and report on retail sales training expenditure as agreed with department/business leaders.

- Create and maintain evaluation and recording processes, reporting regularly on individual and regional progress and performance as agreed with the Sales Head.

- Periodically review and update product knowledge training materials for effective delivery.

- Review the retail sales training program regularly and report on its progress to senior management.

- Continuously develop personal professional skills within the industry. The incumbent will oversee the overall Retail Sales Training of the organization, designing and expanding programs based on business needs.

- Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Maintain regular communication with sales heads to stay aligned with business strategies and training needs.

- Participate in new product launches, proposing ideas and methods for a holistic go-to-market approach for the assigned region.

- Drive continuous brand enhancement and awareness.

- Foster a culture of continuous learning within the retail organization.

Qualifications:

- 7 to 10 years of sales training experience, preferably in luxury brands and perfume backgrounds.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach.

- Passion for innovative people solutions and process improvements.

- Excellent communication, articulation, and presentation skills.

- Collaborative mindset and team-oriented attitude.

- In-depth understanding of HR functions and practices.

- Strong business acumen, problem-solving, and coaching skills.

- Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in spoken Arabic is required.
