Job Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for a Retail Operations Manager to join Dubai Parks & Resort. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

Store Operations Management:

• Oversee and manage daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
• Ensure all operational processes (e.g., opening/closing procedures, stock management, sales reporting) are executed efficiently.
• Implement operational policies and procedures to enhance store productivity.

Team Leadership and Staff Management:

• Manage and supervise store managers, supervisors, and retail staff to ensure performance standards are met.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support staff development.
• Hire, train, motivate and onboard new employees.
• Schedule and allocate staffing resources to meet business needs.

Inventory and Stock Control:

• Oversee inventory management processes, including stock control, ordering, and replenishment.
• Implement and monitor inventory procedures to reduce shrinkage and ensure accurate stock levels.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.

Sales and Profitability:

• Monitor and analyze sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive profitability.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that align with business goals.
• Drive sales performance through team motivation, customer engagement, and upselling techniques.

Customer Service and Satisfaction:

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing issues and resolving complaints effectively.
• Monitor customer service standards and make improvements as needed.
• Develop and implement customer service initiatives that create positive customer experiences.

Budget and Financial Management:

• Assist with budget planning and ensure financial goals are met (e.g., labor costs, expenses).
• Monitor and control operational costs, ensuring profitability without compromising service quality.
• Analyze financial reports and sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Reporting and Administrative Duties:

• Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, sales, inventory levels, and staffing needs.
• Handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing, employee records, and operational documentation.
• Review and manage store budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals.

Strategic Planning:

• Collaborate with upper management to develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve store performance and operations.
• Identify market trends and competitive threats to adapt strategies accordingly.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail management or operations, with a preference for candidates who have managed teams and multiple store locations.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sound approach to decision-making in a dynamic retail setting.
• Proficient in retail software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office, with the ability to manage inventory, budgets, and financial data effectively.
• This is a short-term contract role for a duration of 6 to 8 months, ideal for candidates looking for project-based or seasonal contract.
