Job summary

The role involves auditing processes, leading stock checks, and training staff. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and extensive experience in inventory control and retail environments.

Job description

Key Activities

1. Auditing & reporting on standard operating systems at Corporation’s-managed locations in the aspect of the convenience stores/ fuel / Auto-care/Bakeria/franchise

Investigating reasons for discrepancies and recommending improvements to merchandising and inventory control procedures on an on-going basis.

Ensures that each service station achieves acceptable stock result by analyzing/investigating and recommending corrective measures.

Liaises with operations & support functions to setup /amend procedures / controls and new technologies.

2. Leads the retail’s stock control team and plans the periodic and year end stock take program in coordination with retail management and Internal/External Audit as and when required.

Maintains constant stock control of service stations; ensure stock takes are carried out in 8 weeks cycle for each location and submit final monthly results to Line Manager for review & approval.

Manages the activities of stock take and carries out physical stock check including all aspects of stations –C.stores/Auto car/Fuel/Bakeria, etc, counter-check according to agreed procedures.

Checks and ensures adherence to procedures relating to operations at stations in relation to receiving, recording and stock/inventory control.

3. Reconciles all adjustments up to the date of the count & ensures all invoices, credits etc relating to the period under review are entered onto the system.

Prepares reports on findings of stock control, with all details of non-compliance of procedures to Line Manager.

Distributes reports to concerned supervisors allowing 7 days to review and make comments / recommendation as necessary.

Reviews & finalizes reports in coordination with marketing executives, submits recommendations / actions as appropriate to respective managers.

4. Ensures marketing executives are randomly checking cash & fuel stocks, at least every six weeks, follow-up marketing executives’ report submittals as required.

Highlights issues and recommend corrective measures. Follow up to ensure recommendations are implemented.

Provides justification to management with regards to stock losses and stock related issues.

Carries out spot checks on cash/fuel/stock from time to time.

Conducts stock take for EGPC (Emarat operated) related stations on behalf of Manager, Dealer Sales Operations. Conducts stock take, randomly, on behalf of Fasttrack.

5.Prepares, in conjunction with the annual stock taking exercise, the comparison report year vs. year.

Provides feed back to C-store team on issues of holding overstock/out of stock/non moving items/delisted items which in turn enhance better stock control and profitability.

Ensures that C-Store merchandizing plans are standardized and implemented at each site in accordance with the standards established by the C-Store team.

6. Ensures the on-going development of stock take staff, identifying strength and building upon them and providing trainings to improve weaknesses.

Trains Marketing Executives/retail staff regarding inventory control procedures, as appropriate, provide assistance to resolve stock loss problems, as required.

7. Performs additional duties/assignments as directed by Manager.
