Job summary

UAE Job Alerts seeks a Financial Analyst to support the Finance Manager with month-end closing, reporting, budgeting and forecasting. You will analyze feasibility for new store openings, prepare investment proposals, and collaborate with Retail and Shared Services on accounting, reporting and AP/AR matters.

You will oversee financial analyses, profitability by category/brand, and prepare Flash P&L estimates to aid management decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting required.
• Professional certification (CA/ACCA/CPA, CMA) preferred.
• Strong financial analytical skills with ability to simplify complex data.
• Experience in retail or consumer goods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end closing process and ensure accuracy of postings.
• Collaborate with Finance Shared Services (R2R, I2P, FA, APSSC, O2C) for journal entries.
• Ensure timely booking and payment of trade and non-trade invoices.
• Verify adequacy of provisions at month-end and year-end.
• Prepare and distribute weekly Trade Packs and monthly P&L statements.
• Support annual Budget, quarterly forecasts, and medium/long-term planning.
• Assess new investment proposals using NPV, IRR, and Payback.
