Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office at minimum three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business, and two times per week remote.
Your Role:
Join the Retail Excellence team at General Motors as an intern, supporting key initiatives that shape the future of our showroom experiences and customer engagement strategies. This internship is strictly for students currently pursuing their bachelor’s or master’s degree.
What You'll Do:
- Contribute to enhancing customer journeys by offering insights into consumer behavior and in-store experience.
- Support retail innovation projects, including the launch of next-gen showrooms focused on electric vehicles.
- Assist in analyzing customer interaction data, identifying trends, and helping develop personalized retail strategies.
- Help prepare presentations, research summaries, and internal reports for stakeholder alignment.
- Participate in dealer visits and gather on-the-ground insights.
Your Skills & Abilities:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Psychology (with a focus on consumer behavior or user experience), Marketing (especially digital, retail, or brand marketing), or Computer Engineering (with interest in data, retail tech, or systems thinking).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Good understanding of Gen Z consumer trends and behavior.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Research and data interpretation capabilities.
- A proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
- (Preferred) Familiarity with tools like Power BI, data dashboards, or basic UX principles.
Internship Duration:
This internship will run until mid-December.
