Position Summary

Reporting to the Commercial Director and based in Dubai, the Retail Development Manager for UAE and Oman will be responsible for:

  • Driving and delivering sales performance, market share and ranking across all retail stores
  • Building a strong commercial relationship with key retail partner(s)
  • Leading on all retail performance and team operations topics

Duties include

  • Sales and Retail Development:
  • Drive retail sales and market share growth to achieve monthly set targets.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, education, visual merchandising) to execute brand initiatives and promotions.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide insights to support business strategies.
  • Build and maintain an excellent relationship with key stakeholders at retail
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Recruit, mentor and lead a team of retail experience supervisors, boutique managers, and beauty & brow experts.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and performance reviews.
  • Develop individual development plans for team members in collaboration with HR and Education team to foster career growth and skill enhancement.
  • Retail Operations and Standards:
  • Ensure consistent execution of Benefit Cosmetics’ visual merchandising standards across all retail locations.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure optimal stock levels in store to meet customer demand.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Communication and Reporting:
  • Maintain monthly communication with the team on store targets and follow up on performance versus target on a weekly basis
  • Update regular reports on team sales performance, brand vs market trend, and team activities.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in retail management, with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a large retail team
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and retail operations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Passion for the beauty industry and knowledge of cosmetic products and trends
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory
