Job Description

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience by coordinating front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
  • Train, manage and motivate staff , with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service
  • Respond to customer queries and complaints
  • Meet and greet customers, organize table reservations and offer advice about menu and wine choices
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety, including ensuring good food safety practices are followed
  • Check stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash
  • Take responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant
  • Analyze and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability
  • Organize marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes
  • Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales
  • Create and execute plans for department sales, profit and staff development
  • Set budgets or agree them with senior management
  • Plan and coordinate menus, working closely with the head chef
  • Schedule staff shifts effectively to balance operational needs with employee work-life balance, enhancing team morale.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that the restaurant ambiance aligns with the brand identity and guest expectations.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly, turning challenges into opportunities for improvement and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and training staff on hygiene practices.
  • Lead and train a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels and supplier relationships, negotiating contracts to secure high-quality ingredients while minimizing costs.
