Job summary

Anantara Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Plumber/Technician to maintain and repair the hotel’s plumbing and water systems, ensuring guest comfort and safety. You will respond to maintenance requests promptly and follow hotel procedures.

The role requires willingness to live and work in a remote resort location and to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed. Join our Engineering team to support energy and water conservation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience in plumbing installation, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel’s plumbing and water systems.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitary systems.
• Attend to plumbing requests and emergencies in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens, and back-of-house areas.
• Repair and replace pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, pumps, water heaters, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Identify and rectify water leaks, blockages, low water pressure, and other plumbing issues.
