Job Description

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication.
  • Meet or exceed personal sales solicitation call goals based on daily appointments set by the Line Manager, covering existing and prospective accounts.
  • Responsible for administration of all support services including responding to emails, correspondence, and database maintenance.
  • Maintain a high profile within trade and professional associates dealing with their market area/segment(s).
  • Interact with individuals outside the hotel within their sales area, including clients, local hotel associations, and community members.
  • Solicit corporate, consortia, and leisure accounts directly and jointly through Action Plans.
  • Implement all Sales Action Plans related to their sales area as outlined in the Revenue/Business Plan.
  • Quote and negotiate prices, confirm reservations, draw up contracts, and close transactions.
  • Manage ongoing accounts with contracted clients and set quarterly production targets.
  • Achieve room night and revenue goals as per the incentive and business plan.
  • Attend major travel functions, trade shows, and industry events as appropriate.
  • Plan sales trips to major marketing areas with approval from the DOS.
  • Input market intelligence into the Sales Information Management system.
  • Develop knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers.
  • Promote and generate sales leads for sister hotels and in-house sales staff.
  • Provide feedback on market conditions and competition trends.
  • Arrange FAM and site inspection trips for major clients.
  • Maintain effective files on major active accounts.
  • Establish positive employee relations and perform related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain punctuality, appearance, and good timekeeping.
  • Train and develop sales staff in designated areas.
  • Complete timesheets, Rota’s, holiday schedules, and purchase orders as required.
  • Undertake special projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Prepare correspondence, booking reports, and maintain files.
  • Participate in revenue and sales meetings, training, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure quality service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years’ hotel sales experience, with Middle East experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and pay high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills; Arabic language skills preferred.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and departments.
  • Ability to independently resolve customer needs and complaints.
  • Set and achieve goals effectively.
