Job Description
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet or exceed revenue goals through telephone calls, outside sales, site inspections, and written communication.
- Meet or exceed personal sales goals based on daily appointments set by the Line Manager, covering existing and prospective accounts.
- Administer support services, including responding to emails, maintaining databases, and handling correspondence.
- Maintain a high profile within trade and professional associations relevant to their market area or segment.
- Interact with clients, local hotel associations, and community members outside the hotel within their sales area.
- Solicit corporate, consortia, and leisure accounts through action plans, both independently and collaboratively.
- Implement all Sales Action Plans related to their sales area as outlined in the Revenue/Business Plan.
- Quote and negotiate prices within established parameters, confirm reservations, and finalize contracts with customers.
- Manage ongoing accounts post-contract, setting quarterly targets and maintaining relationships.
- Achieve room night and revenue targets as per the incentive and business plans.
- Attend major travel functions and trade shows related to their marketing responsibility, with prior approval.
- Plan sales trips to key marketing areas, visiting accounts within specific regions.
- Input market intelligence into the Sales Information Management system and stay informed on market trends, competition, and customer preferences.
- Promote and generate sales leads for sister hotels and in-house sales staff.
- Provide feedback on market conditions and competition to the DOS / DOSM / DOR.
- Arrange FAM and site inspection trips for major clients and accompany them.
- Meet deadlines for tasks and maintain organized files on major accounts.
- Foster effective employee relations and perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Maintain punctuality, professional appearance, and good time management.
- Train and develop sales staff reporting to them.
- Complete timesheets, rosters, holiday schedules, purchase orders, and participate in revenue and sales meetings.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure quality customer service.
- Participate in trade shows, community events, and industry meetings.
Qualifications
