Job description

Stantec is seeking to hire a Resident Engineer for a Sewage Treatment Plant project in Dubai.

Project Overview:

This project involves the rehabilitation of an existing Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to enhance its efficiency and capacity, enabling it to treat up to approximately 435,000 m³/day. The scope includes:

1. Rehabilitation and repair of civil works
2. Extension of the plant capacity to around 175,000 m³/day
3. Rehabilitation of the existing 260,000 m³/day STP

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure projects, specifically in sewage treatment plants
• Extensive knowledge of sewage treatment facilities in Dubai and the region
• Degree from a recognized university in a relevant field
• Ability to make on-the-spot decisions and coordinate with service authorities
• Experience in managing construction works and optimizing operations of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations
• Knowledge of infrastructure design and familiarity with DM General Conditions of Contract, quality assurance, and project network techniques
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera P3
• Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to prepare instructions, specifications, reports, and cost estimates
• Experience liaising with DM and other infrastructure authorities
