AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead MEP activities for EHV/HV substations (132kV-400kV+). You will ensure construction follows drawings, specs, contracts, and local codes, coordinating with subcontractors and clients.

With 12+ years in MEP engineering focused on erection, testing, and commissioning, you will review technical submissions, monitor progress, and drive quality across teams in a fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in MEP engineering with focus on erection, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to prepare and review technical drawings and calculations.
• Excellent coordination and communication with subcontractors, clients, and civil teams.

• Monitor contractor performance,productivity,and adherence to project schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress,workmanship,and compliance.
• Review and recommend approval of contractor submissions,including method statements,material submittals,shop drawings,and work procedures.
• Participate in progress review meetings and coordinate with all project stakeholders

About You

• Bachelor's degree or a related field.
• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on erection, testing, and commissioning.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively with subcontractors, clients, and civil teams.
• Proven ability to prepare and review technical drawings and calculations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
