Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to plan, schedule, supervise, and exercise administrative authority over all field of engineering work in the project

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Serve as the Engineer on-site, representing the Employer and ensuring contract compliance during construction.

  • Communicate and coordinate directly with the Contractor regarding construction activities.

  • Inspect and monitor works, issuing directions for non-compliant materials, methods, or equipment.

  • Lead and oversee the supervision team (site engineers, inspectors, surveyors) for roadworks and associated works.

  • Advise the Employer on financial matters, including variations, claims, and contractor payments.

  • Provide contractual and technical advice on roadworks, utilities, traffic diversions, and related components.

  • Maintain accurate site records, review submittals, and ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.

  • Supervise daily construction progress, maintain diaries, and prepare regular progress reports.

  • Coordinate with design teams, contractors, authorities, and the PMC/Client to resolve site issues.

  • Ensure health and safety protocols are enforced; investigate and report incidents.

  • Review HSE reports and contribute actively to on-site safety initiatives.

  • Chair site meetings and manage documentation, drawings, approvals, and correspondence.

  • Support contract administration and undertake other duties as required by the Project Manager or Senior Resident Engineer.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from a recognized institution

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in construction of infrastructure, landscape (softscape and hardscape) works

  • Demonstrable experience in all aspects of supervision on major road and general infrastructure and landscaping projects preferably in the Gulf region.

  • Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) registration or other similar professional organizations preferred.

  • Emphasis on Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control.

  • Have a sound knowledge about contractual relationships.

  • Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.

  • Registered as practicing engineer in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and should have an equivalency certificate.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction related processes, as well as industry practices.

  • familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction.

  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills,

  • Proven ability for performing in a supervisory capacity on a project
