Job summary

Tractebel is seeking a Resident Engineer – Electrical Substation in the UAE to lead the Electrical Engineering portfolio for high-voltage substations and supervise design and construction activities. The role involves coordinating with TRANSCO and ensuring compliance with approved designs, schedules, and budgets.

The candidate must hold a BE in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of UAE experience, and prima facie preference will be given to those with experience with Transco,

Qualifications

• Min 10 years of UAE experience.
• BE in Electrical Engineering.
• Preference: experience with Transco, ADDC, DEWA etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Electrical Engineering portfolio of the Power substations (400kV/220kV/132kV) project including the Technical, HSE and Financial performance during design and construction supervision.
• Site supervision/management of complex technical works of the Client (TRANSCO), alongside management of customer interfaces.
• Monitor that construction strictly follows approved design, reporting and clearance of non-conformance.
• Planning, organizing, and supervision of engineering and construction inspection activities.
• Do closeout and verification of installed quantities.
