Job Description
As a Resident Engineer - Electrical, you will lead and manage all aspects of overhead transmission line projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for overhead transmission lines to ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure materials, equipment, and services necessary for project implementation.
- Supervise construction activities, including tower erection, conductor stringing, and installation of hardware and accessories, to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections, HSE audits, quality assurance checks, progress reviews, scope reviews, and verification of site acceptance and factory acceptance tests, culminating in commissioning of the line.
- Verify all as‑built documents and certify materials and work measurements, completing the project closeout process.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, NOC, drawings, and reports, to ensure accurate record‑keeping and facilitate communication.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, subcontractors, and clients, addressing technical inquiries, resolving disputes, and mitigating project risks.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and excellence among project team members, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on overhead line projects.
- Extensive knowledge of transmission line design, construction, and maintenance practices, including tower configurations, conductor types, and insulation methods.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools, such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and work flexible hours to accommodate project requirements.
