Resident Engineer - Electrical (6 Months Contract)

Job Description

WSP Middle East is seeking a dynamic Resident Engineer - Electrical for a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will oversee and manage electrical engineering projects within the ADDC or AADC domain, ensuring projects are executed according to specifications, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

The Resident Engineer will be responsible for operational performance, technical leadership, and managing the project supervision team and electrical power network projects in the UAE and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Define electrical engineering strategies and conduct feasibility studies across various project types in the UAE.
  • Develop technical solutions for complex problems using ingenuity and creativity.
  • Review and check project documentation in accordance with QA procedures.
  • Lead the project team and undertake line manager responsibilities for the supervision team.
  • Embed health and safety practices into all work activities, in line with company policies.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources and continuous improvement of communication, design, and review processes with the Complimentary Resource Centers (CRCs).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Resident Engineer Electrical in large infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Innovative mindset, eager to challenge norms and find new ways to work efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local and international construction codes and regulations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with AADC or ADDC projects is mandatory.
