Job Description

WSP Middle East is seeking a dynamic Resident Engineer Electrical responsible for overseeing and managing electrical engineering projects within the ADDC or AADC domain. The role involves ensuring projects are executed according to specifications, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

WSP is looking for a Principal Resident Engineer accountable for the operational performance, technical, and people leadership of the project supervision team and electrical power network team projects in UAE and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical engineering strategies and undertake feasibility studies across various project types in UAE.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity.
• Review and check project documentation in accordance with QA procedures.
• Lead the project and undertake line manager responsibilities for the project supervision team.
• Ensure health & safety are embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
• Utilize resources effectively at the right times in projects, engaging with the Complimentary Resource Centers (CRCs) to improve communication, design, and review processes to meet targets with expected quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Resident Engineer Electrical in large infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Innovative mindset, eager to challenge norms and find new ways to work without compromising quality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of local and international construction codes and regulations.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with AADC or ADDC projects is mandatory.
