Job summary

Zutari is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to support major infrastructure works in Dubai, UAE. This role targets a site-based professional with strong bridge and road coordination experience and a solid grasp of local authority requirements.

The successful candidate will lead on-site supervision, manage multidisciplinary interfaces and liaise with RTA and clients to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of site-based engineering experience, with Dubai exposure.
• Proven supervision of bridge projects and complex infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of RTA standards, procedures and approvals.
• Strong communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with engineering and reporting tools.

About The Role

We seek an experienced Resident Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure works in Dubai, UAE. This role is suited to a seasoned site‑based engineering professional with strong experience in bridge works, road infrastructure, and multidisciplinary coordination. The successful candidate will bring proven Resident Engineer experience in Dubai, a strong understanding of local authority requirements, and the ability to lead site supervision activities across complex infrastructure projects. RTA approval is required for this role. This is a key appointment with a target start date of August 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Resident Engineer overseeing day‑to‑day site supervision activities.
• Monitor the execution of bridge works, roadworks, and associated infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure construction activities are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
• Review contractor methodologies, progress, and site performance.
• Provide technical oversight of bridge‑related construction activities, ensuring quality, compliance, and constructability.
• Supervise interface coordination between bridges, roads, drainage, and utility works.
• Identify and proactively resolve site‑based engineering and construction issues.
• Liaise with RTA, contractors, clients, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with local regulations and project requirements.
• Support approvals, inspections, and authority submissions as required.
• Serve as the primary on‑site point of coordination between the contractor, client, and project teams.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with design intent, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Maintain robust quality assurance and quality control processes across site activities.
• Prepare progress reports, highlight risks, and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience, with strong experience as a Resident Engineer in Dubai.
• Demonstrated experience in the supervision and delivery of bridge projects; bridge experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of RTA standards, procedures, and approval requirements.
• RTA approval is required for this role.
• Proven ability to manage contractors, supervise site teams, and coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and reporting tools.
